Rituals from A Minimalistas Bedroom

Anyone who really knows me is well aware of my respect for my bedroom, it is my temple, and thou shall not sit on my bed with dirty pants (kids) I have always maintained a strict code of showering before entering my bed. We never skip the shower (my husband) no matter how much wine was consumed the night before.

I sleep on Silk pillowcases mixed in with Linen.
I never leave dirty clothes out, shut all doors, clean all surfaces. I spritz lavender room spray, and my bedside table is empty, and most importantly I power my phone off when I go to sleep. (yes I have kids, but if they need me, they can wait till the morning, or find someone else to help them out) And gasp, no T.V in our bedroom. I really am A true minimalist.

My bedroom is my sanctuary, My mother was the same way, although she spent way more time in her bedroom than I do, and she violated the number one rule, she ate in her bed. I think that was a 70’s thing. I know this all may sound crazy, but it works for me. At this point every little bit helps with my crazy insomnia!
Everyone has their own way of doing things, and no judgments here. And yes, coffee the next morning is an experience, a ritual you might say, and I love my Breville Espresso maker.

Sipping a cappuccino made with cashew milk in my beautiful mugs I stare out the window and think,” Right here right now is the high point of the day and  it's all downhill from here lady, so savor it”
