So I took a break, to discover what was really important, and what I really needed. Friends, family and home became the center of my life. And somehow hawking pricey bags over the last few months didn’t seem appropriate. Shedding the stuff that bogged us down as we were just trying to survive became integral. We may have not realized it but as we re-enter the world we can really live with a lot less. Yes, it is fun to shop and yes, we all love new shiny things. But perhaps this time around our purchases need to be more intentional. Vases for flowers, cozy sheets, and fluffy towels come to mind. We are spending more time at home and it should be beautiful. When was the last time you bought new cutlery? I’m betting it’s time to re-avaluate what you really use and what you barely use. When we do go out shouldn’t we always be wearing our favorite things that make us feel like a princess? Do we really need six pairs of denim? It’s hard enough to find one pair that fits.
