This really will be a true fantasy post as I am scheduled for foot surgery in a couple of weeks and will be in a boot until July. I am looking forward to getting this over with and I assure you I will be buying a whole lot of shoes when my foot is healed. Hopefully, some of these beauties will still be in stock in my size, but until then I will just have to dream.

My new favorite shoe is the platform. I'm not the tallest girl in the room so I love having height without a heel. I purchased a pair last year on a trip to Italy and I want more!

Robert Clergerie, a ’90’s fave has always been a platform genius and he has two hits with the woven platform Oxfords and these white brogues. I also love Stella McCartney's super cute version with hearts.

Espadrilles must be making a comeback as they seem to be everywhere. I love these by See by Chloe and the Tory Burch in denim. Both have a little platform so they will also add height.

Soludos is a new brand to me, but apparently a favorite of the Duchess, and as you probably know by now, anything the Duchess loves, I adore. They seem to have a real handle on affordable platform espadrilles, so I am all in!

The sneaker craze has not ended - it may have sped up and it seems new brands are popping up daily. I love all of these at Need Supply and really can't decide. This may be the first shoe I purchase post surgery.

I have always loved slides and mules. I’ve actually never stopped wearing them and I’m happy that they are everywhere. I love a simple slide but I adore an over the top embellished shoe. As my sister likes to say, “Mara never saw a sparkly she didn't like”.

These beaded mules from Anthropologie would look great with faded denim or white jeans. And these Kurt Geiger Mary Janes with a diamond strap would swap in nicely at a wedding or shower for high heels.

On the more simple route, these silver Prada slides will be uber chic with wide black pants. Need Supply has the perfect Tannis woven slide to go with a cute black or white summer dress. These really on-trend slides from &Other Stories remind me, of course, of the ’90s.

One last note. Apparently Birkenstocks and Tevas are all the rage, but sorry this is a trend I won’t be jumping on. But please don’t laugh at me if you see me hobbling around Brooklyn in something similar, I have no idea what my shoe future holds!
